During that tour you will go through the beautiful and narrow Parvati Valley, where jagged peaks and glaciers stand sentinel over the dark blue gorge of the river Parvati.

At an altitude of 1737 meters Manikaran is a famous spot for its hot spring water, trout fishing and Ramchandraji’s temple and Gurdwara. Thousands of pilgrims have their dip in the hot waters. It is believed to be radioactive and good for such diseases as rheumatism, gout, bronchitis, pneumonia and muscular pains. The water with tremendous force is so hot, even rice, dhal and vegetable is cooked!

The first 40 km down to Kullu are totally relaxing. We will pass through nice Villages including Naggar, orchards and rice fields and that only downhill. In Kullu we get some refreshments than it goes a 10 km straight way further to Bunthar. Now we enter the magic and mysterious Parvati Valley and with it the road doesn’t only becomes narrow but also uphill and that for nearly all the next 35 km. But not only the beauty of the Valley with its rapid river, the lush green surrounding and the snowcapped mountains in the background reward the strain. The hot water in Manikaran will remove all the fatigue from your muscles!
